Faith

Learn from a parent or relative about your family’s conversion story, whether it was recent or many generations back. Record in your journal how this ancestor's strength has strengthened your faith. Be able to share the story while on trek!

Prepare a talk on “Faith” and present it if possible in sacrament meeting YM, YW or FHE.
Watch the movie “Legacy”.
Start getting in shape for trek. Run, bike, or walk (get your blood pumping!)
3 times a week.
Be familiar with the Trek Clothing List and start gathering or making what you will need.

March

Testimony & Atonement

Read the sections Testimony and Atonement of Jesus Christ in True to the Faith
Read the March Stories from the Trail
Think about the strength of your own testimony and make a personal goal that can be done daily to strengthen your testimony and to have the faith sufficient for today’s trial, then do it!
Prepare a talk on “The Atonement” and present it if possible.
Watch “The Testaments” with your family or class or quorum.
Run, bike, or walk 3 times a week for at least 2 miles.
Select a pair of sturdy shoes for trek and start breaking them in if necessary. (A good pair of tennis shoes works well.)

April

Holy Ghost & Prayer

Read the Joseph Smith History section in the Pearl of Great Price.
Boyd K. PackerRead “How Does the Spirit Speak to Us?” from Elder Boyd K Packer. Record in your journal how following the Spirit can strengthen you.
Read the April “Stories from the Trail”.
Prepare a talk on “The Holy Ghost” or “Prayer” and present it if possible.
Watch the “Joseph Smith Movie” at the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg.
Be able to run or walk 4 miles. Continue to exercise 3 times a week. Suggested Activities
Go on a 5 mile hike. Read John 14:16-17, 2 Nephi 32:5, & Moroni 10:4-5, 8:26, D&C 130:22, 42:17 while on your hike. Discuss or record in your journal ways the Holy Ghost helps you.

May

Service & Gratitude

Prayerfully choose a personal service project and carry it out. Record in your journal your project and the feelings you had while performing the activity.
Read the May "Stories from the Trail"
In your personal journal, compare your lifestyle with the pioneers. How is your life the same, how is it different? How have their faith in trials strengthened you?
Participate in doing baptisms for the dead by yourself or with your class or quorum. Think about the blessings of the temple and the service we do there for others.
Prepare a talk on “Service” or “Gratitude” and present it if possible.
Be able to run or walk 5 miles. Continue to exercise at least 3 times per week. 
Go over your Trek packing list and finish gathering what you need.

Do you still remember your family’s conversion story (from January)?
